Public Advisory Panel
The Public Advisory Panel is an important part of the Sustainable Electricity program. The Panel is comprised of a diverse group of individuals, each of whom has demonstrated leadership and presence in the sustainable development community. The Panel will present an informed point of view on the economic, social, and environmental performance of the electricity industry in Canada, against the backdrop of the principles and indicators at the foundation of the Sustainable Electricity program.
Membership
The Public Advisory Panel is comprised of a minimum of five representatives holding two year terms, with the possibility of renewal for an additional two years. Panel members are selected by CEA in consultation with the Sustainable Electricity Executive Council. Members may include, but are not limited to, former government officials, industry leaders, academics, environmental scientists, plus representatives from First Nations, environmental and labour groups.
